Wranglers are especially important to measure correctly because wheels, tires, suspension, bumpers, racks and roof systems can move a real vehicle away from the stock specification quickly.
Use the VIN where possible and mark the vehicle modified if the current dimensions no longer match stock.
Analyze my Wrangler →Jeep’s 2026 FAQ lists the standard 2-door at 166.8 in and standard 4-door at 188.4 in long. Standard width is 73.9 in and standard height is up to 73.6 in. The 4-door with the available Xtreme 35-Inch Tire Package grows to 192.5 in long, 79.3 in wide and 75.5 in high.
If another vehicle uses the normal OCONUS POV entitlement, the Wrangler may need a private second-POV shipment.
Lift kits, 35-inch tires, steel bumpers and racks can trigger different acceptance or manual review.
Assignment length changes the value of shipping versus storing or selling.
Use a real sale offer and current replacement-market evidence rather than guessing both sides.
Treat actual measured dimensions as more important than the factory row. A carrier can quote a stock configuration correctly and still need to revise or review a vehicle that arrives taller, wider or otherwise outside that assumption.
Military OneSource states that one personally owned or leased POV may generally be shipped at government expense for OCONUS moves, subject to exceptions. A second vehicle may therefore become a private commercial decision. See the two-car PCS guide.
Stronger when you plan to keep the Jeep, the exact configuration is accepted and the total cost remains competitive with replacing it.
Stronger when the sale offer is attractive or modifications make transport less economical.
Worth considering for a temporary assignment, but storage, insurance, depreciation and future retrieval still count.
