U.S. inland intelligence

From U.S. port to your final ZIP.

Ship or Sell resolves the destination state from ZIP, selects the mapped vehicle gateway, applies the vehicle profile, and separates an exact reference rate from a market planning estimate.

Gateway routing

Current routing uses Baltimore, Brunswick, Galveston, Long Beach, Tacoma, Davisville and New York. Alaska and Hawaii use Long Beach as the mainland gateway but require a separate onward ocean leg.

Rate quality

Reference rates are only used automatically after they pass Ship or Sell’s internal quality threshold. Lower-confidence records stay labeled as planning estimates or Review instead of being presented as final pricing.

When there is no exact reference rate

Ship or Sell can show a clearly labeled planning estimate using current public U.S. auto-transport distance benchmarks, vehicle class and open/enclosed transport. This is not presented as a booked carrier quote.

Vehicle factors

Size, condition, modifications, running status, transport type and timing can change the carrier market. Modified or non-running vehicles are routed to provider review rather than given false precision.

Sources for the public fallback model

Public 2026 distance benchmarks are cross-checked against major U.S. vehicle transport pricing guides. Exact live market pricing can still change with route strength, fuel, season and carrier availability.
