Hybrid and EV Vehicle Shipping Requirements

Alternative-fuel vehicles need their own booking check. Do not quote them as if they were ordinary gasoline vehicles.

What information should be ready?

Vehicle type (HEV, PHEV or BEV), mileage, vehicle condition and front/rear/both-side photos are useful for carrier review. Visible damage should be documented.

Why is the process different?

Carriers can impose battery-state, diagnostics, dangerous-goods, fire-safety or lane-specific acceptance rules. Acceptance and surcharges can differ by carrier and route.

What does Ship or Sell do?

The calculator flags Hybrid/EV shipments for carrier-specific review instead of pretending the normal gasoline rate is final.

Important: Carrier, terminal, registration-office and customs requirements can change. Use this as preparation guidance and verify the actual booked shipment.
